Courtovo user guide
Courtovo is a free Wear OS app that keeps the score of ten sports on your wrist — tennis, padel, squash, badminton, table tennis, pickleball, volleyball, football, handball and basketball — and records heart rate, calories and distance for fourteen more. No account, no internet, no subscription: install it, pick a sport, and start. This guide covers everything the watch does, one page per topic.

What it scores
Three ways of counting, and your sport picks one.
- Tennis and padel share the 15, 30, 40 ladder, so all 14 tennis formats apply to either — match tiebreak, no-ad, Fast4 and golden point included. See tennis and padel.
- Squash, badminton, table tennis, pickleball and volleyball are races in plain numbers — to 11, 15, 21 or 25, two clear — with the serve following each sport's own rule: every two points in table tennis, the winner of the rally in the others. See squash, badminton, table tennis, pickleball and volleyball.
- Football, handball and basketball are a running tally: goals or points added up, halves or quarters with a countdown, overtime where the format has it, and a draw as a result. See football, handball and basketball.
What is not counted, and it is a decision rather than an oversight: the old side-out scoring where only the serving side can score. If your sport is missing, write to support@courtovo.com and say how a match of it is scored; what we hear back decides the order we build in.
What it measures
Every other sport starts a session instead of a match: running, walking, cycling, swimming, gym, yoga, golf, hiking, skiing, horse riding, climbing, dancing and martial arts. A session measures heart rate, calories and time; running, walking, hiking and golf add steps and distance, and cycling, swimming, skiing and horse riding add distance. A match measures the same alongside the score. Every measurement can be switched off, and scoring never depends on one — see heart rate, venue and battery.
Your club
Courtovo works entirely on its own, and always will. If your club, school or venue runs on Joinovo — the booking and membership platform Courtovo comes from — you can connect the watch to it: the line-up comes from your court booking, and finished matches land in your member profile.
Three steps to start
- Open the app. It asks which sport — turn the bezel, tap the middle one. It opens on the sport you played last, whose name is the bright one; every other name is dimmed.
- The warm-up screen follows, titled with that sport. Check the format, which side you are, and who serves first.
- Tap Start match.
The first step is skippable for good: Settings → Sport → Ask at launch, off.
Every gesture in one table
In order: a point for that side, a point for you or for the other side, undo, the match menu, the statistics. Nothing here needs a hard button, because not every watch has one to spare.
| Gesture | On the score screen | On the warm-up screen |
|---|---|---|
| Tap the left / right half | Point to that side | Change the row |
| Bezel clockwise / counter-clockwise | Point to you / your opponent | Scroll |
| Swipe up | Undo, one point per swipe | Settings |
| Swipe left to right | Match menu | — |
| Swipe right to left | Statistics | — |
| Long press | Undo | — |
| Back button | Match menu | Leaves the app |
